Melissa Hodge 

Melissa Hodge, a graduate of Hamilton High School West (2005), has always loved the sport of softball from a young age. In her high school years , she was four year Varsity starter. She finished her High School career with a 1,084 career strikeouts, becoming the fifth player in New Jersey history to strike out 1,000 career batters. She also batted .515 as a senior at the plate.

Melissa moved on to Hofstra University where she received a division 1 full softball scholarship. Throughout her 4 years of pitching, hitting and defense in left field, she contributed to 3 NCAA appearances and in her senior year she received 2nd team all Colonial Athletic Association. She graduated in 2009 with a B.A. in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences.

Melissa then coached Bordentown High School for 2 consecutive years. In 2012 she had a winning record of 13 - 7. In 2013 she had a record of 14 - 7 - 1  and came in 1st place in their Division.

When she is not on the softball diamond she works during the day at the Mercer County Special Services School District as an Autistic assistant. She also is working on becoming an elementary school teacher. At night she is giving private softball lessons for hitting, pitching and fielding.
